I'm going back and forth on releasing an Demo of the first release. What do you guys think? Should I release an Demo of the first half of DLGs? If I release a demo, everyone will get it the same day. SS would get it hours earlier though. It would be 0.00.5. I wouldn't go back to 23 Sisters until 0.01 is out though. I'd be able to get a Demo out in less than a week now that half the release is written. NEED YOUR OPINION!!
I would rather wait till you have .01 done
I would rather have the full .01
I can feel your excitement, but don't rush to share it just yet. Though I do like your Alpha approach with 23 sisters, having the whole version to play in the case will be way more satisfying. And for what it's worth, your update on progress already serves to built our own excitement. You've already got an audience ready and waiting, so no need to "sell it" with a demo for the masses, if that makes sense. <3
I am more interesting to wait for a 0.1 then a demo and well I do not mind waiting :)
I would like to play the full version, but I don't see any harm in putting out a demo. Especially, on places like F95 where those who have not supported you yet can potentially be persuaded to do so. I know I have played demos of games in the past and it peaked my interest enough to where I followed the game development more closely. This, in turn, convinced me to support the developer. So, there are definitely potential long term benefits.
