This our tribute and farewell to you Kentaro Miura. Your legacy will eternally grace us.

Your writing of Berserk and story about Guts was discovered at a perfect time for me. It thought me many things through the visual story and art. With solitude being a blessing, and to believe in myself.

I tried to simulate the old 90's anime art-style of berserk to the best of my abilities in this video to honor the original work.

The sword was made by G.Salmon over at sketchfab. https://sketchfab.com/G_Salmon Thanks for that.

And the rest of the scene for those interested was made like this. The cliff was a photoscanned area not to far away from where I live here in Norway. I wandered for some hours while listening to the Berserk OST's and some other stuff. It was a quest to find the perfect scenery, and to honor his work.

After I had found it I compiled and did some touch-up work in various programs like photoshop and blender. Then I added grass with hair particles and a little wind fan with noise modifier to simulate wind. The clouds was very difficult, and was made with mesh to volume technique. Check YT. Then lastly was the ribbons, they where first baked with cloth physics, then exported as .MDD, then readjusted and re-imported to become seamless in another file by shape-keys and transitions.

The issue with the seamless loop was that the file video took almost 2 days to render, and was not perfect seamless, after another day or two with tweaking I had to admit defeat and tried to the best of my abilities to create a seamless loop by hand.

I was very pleased with the end result and how it turned out as a whole.

Thank you for letting us in and to enjoy your extraordinary story, it is so unique and well made. I will make sure we have easter-eggs to Berserk in our own saga.
