January's Voting Results
A pretty old idea finally won this time ... and maybe that will be kind of controversial since only half the people who voted actually voted on this one. But the two who did gave it a 10 and a 9, which easily propelled it to the top. I think it would be wrong for me to overrule the results, so I guess that one will just stand as the winner ... and an object lesson to people voting: when you leave things blank, it gives other voters more power.
Winner: Practice Time Doesn't Count (9.50)
A younger brother (14) goes to his older sister (19) for advice: he's about to go on a third date with his girlfriend (13), and she's been dropping hints that 'the third time is the charm'. But he's nervous about having sex, worried that he's going to be bad at it. He wants his sister to give him some advice. His sister goes above and beyond, giving him a very hands-on 'practice session'. She says that he's still a virgin, since 'practice time doesn't count'. After the date (not showing the brother's date in the story), he comes back home and tells her how it went. It turns out that the girlfriend's idea of 'third time's the charm' was to let him get to 2nd base, no more. Now he's all blue-balled. Sister suggests another practice session, and he readily agrees.
Runner-Up: Put Me In, Coach! (9.00)
I always thought it was kind of weird having a female coach for the boys football team. Can't argue with results, though. Since she took over, we've gone from dead last to making the state playoffs three years in a row. One of her innovative new coaching strategies is to name an MVP player after each game and give them some unspecified prize. Really great for motivation, even though I never came close. I'm just the backup field goal kicker. But on one fateful game, I finally got my chance to shine: the starting kicker was down with a sprained ankle, and one last field goal was our last chance at winning. Making that field goal made me the MVP of the night ... which led to me finding out just what our coach's special prize is.
Loser: Pleasing the Pack (5.00)
In the early days, most other furs were terrified of wolves. But now that predation is a thing of the past, being chased down by a pack of them can lead to a much more pleasant -- but still exhausting -- conclusion. (Bisexual, some predator/prey play)

Interesting, I thought blanks defaulted to vote of 5, but they're actually not included in the tally for that story?
Yeah ... maybe it's partly my fault for not making that clear. I just take the average of all the votes that were actually cast, and the blank ones don't affect that average at all.
