Getting Serious

TL;DR: I am transitioning to a part time IT professional and part time game developer so I can spend more time making more games in less time.
Time to come clean about my near silence these last 6 weeks.  This is a long one so maybe get a drink and a snack
The Full Story
The thing I enjoy doing more than anything is game development.
However, it doesn't pay the bills so when I started this journey I decided I had to keep my full-time job.
For a while that worked, but the over the last 18 months or so I was given a lot more responsibility at my full-time job and working long days became necessary.
Obviously this meant I had less time for game dev and progress on MGT slowed considerably :(
Honestly I an unhappy with the way the game is progressing and my full-time job is too stressful to continue.
So I came up with a plan.
The Plan
In order to continue to pay my bills and maximise game dev time I will have to start contracting 2 - 3 days a week for regular IT work as well as game development.
That leaves 2 - 3 days for my dream job of "lewd game developer".
Contracting work
I already have my first client and I am currently training to become Unity Certified so that I can take on more contracts in the game industry.
Things are looking very promising.
Serious business
The more money I make as a game dev, the less I need to do IT contract work.
Simple, right?
Luckily I am a one-man army and I can do most game dev on my own, but I do need to pay my bills and hire artists from time-time.
So I am getting serious about running InterLEWDCreations as a proper business.  I have spent some time registering business names and hiring designers to make professional branding.
More on this soon.
Expanding social media
I am very active on Twitter and I have recently started a subreddit to keep the community better in informed and reach more people.
I'm going to be more present on Discord too.  That includes game teases like screenshots, animated GIFs and videos.
Expanding subscriptions
I have launched a campaign on SubscribeStar.adult for those who do not have a Patreon account.
The campaign is exactly the same as the Patreon that includes the same pricing tiers and rewards to be fair to everyone.
Public Releases
I will always have a free version of Monster Girl Tailes to share with the community on itch.io and Game Jolt.
The one minor change is I have enabled the "pay what you want" option.
Download it for free or if you're feeling generous maybe donate $1.
Streaming
I will begin streaming game development and "Ask Me Anything" sessions on Goohshi.  The first stream is today 12PM AEST, 7PM PDT
You can even download the free Public Release from Goohshi.
Ain't No Shill
Let me be very clear that even though I am taking steps to earn more money with the InterLEWD Creations business, I will not beg for your money or promote anything I don't believe in.
I have always based my reward tiers and pricing around delivered value.  I will continue to be fair in this way going forward.
SubscribeStar Goals
I have updated my goals to better represent the new direction of becoming a full-time game dev studio.
Your Support
This is a vey exciting and scary time for me.  I am optimistic about the future, but this could all still blow up in my face.
If you are unable to pledge/subscribe it would mean the world to me if you dropped me a DM or popped into the Discord to just say hi.
Or jus drop a like on this post.  That would make my day :)
Until next time, hunter.
