Welcome plebs! We've got a little hole in the universe dedicated to a new gaming group: A Nile River Games - finally on SS. Hopefully the admins will let us in (currently under review) so we can bestow upon you new games focused on fetishes that we all enjoy!
Games Currently Under Development
Description: Two adults are spending summer time with each other in Japan. As the summer progresses, they find they share something more intimate and then begin to explore their inner most desires. The story is based on a young woman named Natsumi. She invites you, the main character to her house in Japan (can start as male or female MC). As time goes by, moment after moment, like the universe telling the two they should be together, the kinkiness unravels. The two start exploring every naughty thing they've desired for a long, long time. From mini games to 3D interactive scenes, to VN style story telling, this game would be an enjoyable adventure for any watersports fan. The game uses a custom VN platform to relay the story to the user then jumps into 3D scenes that can be interacted with, even one-handy ;)
Main Fetish: Watersports/Wetting/Play Other Genres: Yuri/Lesbian, Vanilla
All games will incorporate a custom VN storytelling style until otherwise updated in a more recently developed game. Currently, Girl From Japan is using this custom VN engine but it's still in development.
Once the custom VN engine is standardized, we plan on moving the other games below into this system. Currently, VN style imagery is rendered with Daz3D. We've chosen our gaming platform as Unity since the developers are use to C# development. We won't be using any other platform at the moment since they either did not meet the needs of our games or because of cumbersome development options.
Right now, we're tasked with creating games that use certain tools that would not necessarily be used for what we're doing. Having said that, game development has been a little slow as the current dev is learning the ins and outs of Unity, and attempting to utilize these tools to create the games we envision.
With our first game, we're also using a DB backend with the help of SQLite. Hopefully this combination will create one of the best hybrid gaming systems and we can use it to speed up development with our future games.
If push comes to shove, there may be a need for more customization. In that case we will continue to break the mold to get the games our fetish community wants and create tools as needed.

There aren't any, and on purpose. I wanted to create a SS page for the group for now. We will see how things go from there but for now, I wanted a place everyone could go to to check out what's going on with A Rive Nile Games.
We are behind on dev right now. We've hit a wall with the technology we're trying to use for fluid sims. Right now we're using Unity and were hoping it would be the quickest and easiest way to get everything we need. However, as we have learned, it's not going as well as it should. Daz3D exports work with HDRP and the fluid sim we're using does not use HDRP. We've tried to use other ways of doing this but they have not gotten as far. Our entire series of games is on hold because of this.
While we're researching this again, we've found another engine that may work. We're also considering using the Unreal engine - just in code form. We don't have a lot of devs and we don't have a lot of devs that are fluent in c++ so this is another challenge.
We also ran across another road block with out VN system. Right now it's worked well going in one direction. It's also presented choices and executed responses correctly. Going backwards, however, is still a bit of an issue and we've also found loading images in a VN style for Unity is ground-breaking. Both are challenges that we wish to resolve, HOWEVER, not having a VN system where we spend a lot of time rendering is not a drawback since we can simply make the games full 3D.
Our main developer is also on hiatus while they go through some life-related issues. He's been pushing hard on GFJ but got to a point where all of the above came up and had to temporarily go back to life and not worry about the game.
With all this being said - expect more delays. We are also reminding everyone not to subscribe right now because we do not have any games that can be played.
I wish we had better news. Soon, we hope, there will be games for everyone to enjoy. GFJ will be our trend-setter and AS SOON AS we can figure out how to do GFJ properly, the other games will easily fall right in behind it.
