I'm developing Magical Girl Azalea, a fully animated pixel art Metroidvania game.

What are the game tags?

How do lewd scenes will work in the game?

My plan is to make lewd scene like this:

Enemies have a grab move. If it lands:

1.→ QTE starts

2.→ Fail the QTE → phase 1 of sex scene

3.→ If it continues, moves to phase 2

Where will the game be available?

The demo and early versions will be free on itch io up to the first boss.

After that, Subscribers will get updates earlier than the public demo

Full updates beyond the first boss will be on here or any other subscription platforms i have

Devlogs will be exclusive to patrons after the demo

What platforms will it be on? Will it run on mobile?

No mobile version planned for now.

Release will be for Windows 64-bit only.

Will the game have more systems?

Yes! But I want to finish the core mechanics first. More content will come later.

How long will the final game be?

Hard to say, depends on how well the project does with the public and support.

When will the demo be released?

No fixed date yet. I'm aiming for July or August or close to that

Could be sooner or later depending on life stuff, work and how many rests i need to keep developing without burningout myself

Will Azalea have more outfits?

Maybe! The system I made makes it easy to add more, but it's not a current priority with everything else I’m juggling.

What's the game lore about?

At the moment, I don't have a fully developed lore just a bunch of abstract ideas that I still need to piece together.

But the general concept goes into something like this:

A war between angels and demons, with humanity caught in the middle, choosing to side with either faction.

The main villains will be the princesses of Hell Lucifer, Beelzebub, Baphomet, and others but they'll all be reimagined as powerful and hot demon women.

As the player, you'll travel through the demon world to confront and battle them, although I haven't decided exactly why yet.

I plan to incorporate some biblical references like Babylon and the Tower of Babel, along with various folklore elements to inspire enemy and map designs.

What engine are you using?

Godot 4.3

#Capra demon dash animation [ Done ]

I just finished the animation for the Capra Demon grab move.

It has a short preparation phase, and once that animation ends, she will dash toward you.

If you get hit by the dash, it will trigger the lewd animations, and you’ll have to break free from the grab.

If the dash ends without landing a hit, she will briefly break and then return to her walking state.

At this point, there are only two animations left to finish for the demo, so it’s getting really close to the demo release.

What’s next?

Now I can finally start developing the enemy grab system and handling how its animations work in-game.

I’ll begin by setting the grab to trigger at a certain chance while the Capra Demon is chasing you, and then make sure the transitions and animations behave properly.

I’ll also need to create a temporary arousal stat and gauge, which will be used to define the conditions for switching between different loops during the lewd animations.

i'll start the grab system development tomorrow because i really wanna slap all the animations i did in the last months ASAP and share the results with you soon! 🙏

#Status report

Hello!

Just a quick heads-up:

I’m currently in the process of moving to a new home, so things have been a bit busy lately. On top of that, I ran into some PC and internet issues, which I only managed to fix today. Because of this, development has been slightly delayed.

Once everything settles down, I’ll be back to working on the game again.

The dash and grab mechanic is almost finished.

I’ve also adjusted the plan a bit:

instead of a grab move after the run-and-grab animation, I’ll animate a run-break if the Capra Demon doesn’t track the player at the target position. In that case, it will return to idle and resume chasing.

I want to sincerely thank every supporter!

Your support gives me a huge motivation boost and truly makes a difference in helping me keep going on this challenging journey.

I’d also like to thank every follower and every friend who has helped me with feedback and tips along the way.

2025 is almost over, and with December coming to an end, I wanted to be honest about my progress. My original goal was to release the demo by now, but that turned out to be a bit unrealistic. Even though I’m very close, I’ll still need a bit more time to finish it properly.

October was a really productive month, but November and December were slower due to work and real life responsibilities. The good news is that most of the tasks required for the demo are now complete,including the hardest ones.

At the moment, I’m working on the grab and dash animation. I’ve also “Christmasfied” the dash part to celebrate the holidays and to show a bit of progress.

Around the beginning of January, I’ll start working on the grab system, so we’ll soon be able to see the animations in-game: the grab and dash, the kissing animation, and the second animation as well
